Dan's Campaign of Adventure

The Adventure Begins!

Adventure Awaits!  The dragon cult has been defeated and life is returning to normal across the Sword Coast.  Bards sing tales of the Heroes of the Well of Dragons who defeated Tiamat and sent her hurtling back to prison in the Nine Hells.

Trade between cities has resumed, villages that were pillaged by the cult are being rebuilt, and wealthy merchants seek out would-be adventurers for exciting and dangerous missions.

Yet the power vacuum created by defeating the evil dragons has encouraged other evil forces across the Sword Coast! Rumors have begun to spread that giants, longtime enemies of the dragons, are beginning to emerge from their strongholds to take advantage of this moment of dragon weakness to enslave and pillage the civilized world.

Are these just unfounded tales or a portent of future devastation?  Will a new generation of adventurers be up to the task of fighting this emerging threat?

Ready to find your own adventure, you make your way to Neverwinter to meet the dwarf Gundren Rockseeker.  Word is that Gundren has work and is willing to pay.  A simple job for a decent wages?  Who could say no to that?

Neverwinter

A short while ago, Neverwinter was beset by all manner of damage, danger and gloom.

Now, the orcs that once menaced the city have moved east to join their brethren in being crushed by the dwarves.

The Chasm that rent the land has been sealed by powerful magic.

The High Road has been cleared and rebuilt, and trade has resumed with Waterdeep and realms to the south.

Many in the city mourn the loss of husbands, brothers, and cousins, who joined the Lords Alliance to fight and die in a righteous battle to stop Tiamat and the Dragon Cult at the Well of Dragons.

What was the blasted, wounded city of Neverwinter just a decade ago is now an exciting , humming place, where folk seem eager to throw off the hardships from which they have emerged and create a new, brighter future for their city.
